Hamburg…

Hamburg has very specific atmosphere. It isn´t great like Paris or Athens but I feel here like I was home. The same expression of people´s faces, the same smell of air, the same wheather, same cars and shops. Raw, amoral, but magnetic at the same time. Beautiful gardens full of sweet flowers, singing birds, oasis of peace, magnific St. Michaelis architecture next to the junkies, prostitutes, homeless people sleeping in front of Peek & Cloppenburg, vagabounds with their dogs wandering streets. Incredible lights of Reeperbahn are fascinating and frightening concurrenlty. Boys and girls suggest their bodies and souls to passers, music goes from every door. They seemed to be lost and humbled without future. Very beautiful boys I saw there. It was sad…

I like the city, it have a strange attractivness for me. Now, I fully understand Stuart´s words “it´s a vast amoral jungle”. Yes, it is. But with some indescribable beauty.
